Pickerel flowers are starting to open.

Cromatella water lily a bit disappointing with only one flower so far and it only opened for one day.

Attraction water lily flowers lasting for 4-5 days

1st Sept

Lobelia still flowering well although it has suffered in the wind recently.

Water lily's still flowering well (3 open today, with more buds on the way)

Pickerel still flowering, but well past it's best.

Reed's/bullrushes looking a bit tatty now

Have to do something about the filter, fed-up having to clean it twice a week, bit of a pain when you concider that it is supposedly designed for a 12000 litre pond and mines only 1800 litres. Today it was bunged up and the bypass wasn't quite coping for some reason so it was slowly draining the pond.

21st Sept

Spotted a new fish today, a little fry that's an inch & a bit and already changed colour. Obviously missed an egg or two in the spring. Hope there's not too many more hiding in there, allready got too many.

Plants are looking a bit worse for wear now

Frogbit turning yellow so removed it all today before it sinks.
Water Soldiers have started their decent.
Water was noticeably colder on the hands today.
Seems like I have 2 new fish, 2 fry seen today.

Kafir Lily's in full flower at last

3 Water Lily buds on the surface, will they open?

Things are still ticking over quite nicely  Smile
Lily flowers are still trying to open but I don't think they like the rain.
The number of new fry seen is going up as the lily pad cover goes down Sad
