Does anyone know what wrong with this fish.
It started with a little bit of what looked like fungus on its head,
Ive treated the tank with protozin and esha 2000
, and its got worse,
im at a loss as to what to do now, is it a matter of waiting for the meds to work, i could isolate him in another tank but the meds are in this tank, and the other tank would be unmedicated.
Sorry not the best pic, he tends to hide in the vallis all the time

You shouldn't mix treatments within at least a week of each other. Can't tell from your post whether you have done this or not!! Sorry
I think I would have isolated him, but it looks as if it may be that he's got a battle scar with another fish or object which has been infected!! Difficult to say from the pics. I was reading something on a columnaris bacteria which attacks lesions like that.

thanks for the help
I did think of putting him in a breeding net, but im worried that may stress him out, and the pics arnt good, he tends to hide in the vallis,
it looks like the scales are come off, and instead of blue, his head is just pinkish, and a little fluffy, thats what made me think it was fungus.
I wondered about giving him a salt bath, but i dont wanna make things worse. di

A salt bath may do a bit of good, but I don't think I'd risk it tbh. I'd haver him in a hospital tank just in case he has an infectious disease.
Continue treatment in both tanks, one as a preventative measure, the other to treat your gourami. Melafix should be the one to use here especially as you think it's a fungus as this help with healing wounds too. However I use eSha 2000 to great effect now and then too.
Difficult to make any diagnosis here though Di - I may well be wrong - but the course of action I've recommended should be adhered to really for the sake of not infecting other fish if there is a problem.

right thankyou, this is what ive done, just about an hour ago after reading this,
he appears no better or worse,
so ive put in him the small tank with no other fish, added protozin, and melafix,
I tried the salt bath but he just lay on his side floating and it worried me too much so after 5 mins i took him out.
I did a 50% water change on the small tank and added the meds and then transferred him over, he may be better without the other fish hassling him, not that ive noticed much, just the odd knock. I have one more dose of protozon to go in the big tank tomorrow and then the course is done, should i just add my elimi phos to the filter, and do a water change ???
I dont know wether to keep up the protozin as its not done much so far, maybe its not the right treatment, ive added some today ??

I'm not too sure on that mixing either, will need to get a good look at my instructions again for Melafix and also notice that your Protozin and Esha2000 (not sure of that treatment btw) are used. As Cory said there's usually a warning on the box of Waterlife products saying not to use with other treatments.

;D LOL.....thanks.
Although won't stop me asking questions, think I was chosen more for a 'Jeez, FD is on the bloody site 24/7' than 'FD knows a heck of a lot about fish'. ;D
