I just noticed that one of my nearly fully grown molly fry has a couple of cloudy patches in her tail. I don't know if they were always there or not, should I be worried?

today she's not doing very well...not sure exactly what the problem is, but I'm pretty sure she's going to die Sad Right now I have her separated from the other fish but unfortunately I'm leaving home for the weekend, so I think I might put her out of her misery.

OK. This is what I would do.

Perform a 50% water change in the tank she is in AND the one she came from.

Treat with anything that will eradicate fungi, for example, Melafix, eSha 2000, or the Waterlife or Interpet equivalent.

See what happens when you get back from your holiday!!

Well I brought her with me on my holiday (just going to mum's) because I decided I was too chicken to leave my aquatic frogs and male betta alone anyways. So I treated her for dropsy in a fish bowl that floated in the tank with the frogs and betta. 5 Days later, she's looking really good and eating again so I took her out and let her socialize. Unfortunately, my betta decided to prove he's the boss. He lets her eat, but he must have chased her because 3 hours later, she has some scales missing on her head, so back in the bowl she went with aquarium salts...hopefully her spirits will lift.

An update on my fish:
She is doing fine, but I think she has permanent sight damage in her left eye.  She seems to swim crooked and at feeding time she just bobs along the tops til she finds some food.
However, I'm happy that she survived and has been able to integrate back into my community tank without any other problems.

What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, cloudy patches can be bacterial or parasite, is there any fluffyiness to the cloudy patches.
