Not sure about all these 'tags', 'my discussions' and things on the side of the forums - can you explain how they work/what they are to a simpleton like me!

Tags are keywords that descibe the subject of your post to make it easier for people to search and find dstuff related. If you where to start a topic about zebra plecs for example, youd use zebra plex as a tag to make it easier for someone 2 years form now to find it when searching for stuff on zebra plecs.
I'll write a user guide as to what the new things are, and what we have lost this week. Basically my discussions serves a similar function, the last active thread you have been involved with is at the top, for example as i post this, this topic will be at the top pf your list.
