Yellow labs easy to breed, if you got a pair, difficualt to sex though

Blues' more difficualt but still easyish.

Just put plenty of rocks and hideing places and the fry will surive. their tough little fish these.

Hi i also beleive they require well oxygenated water and plenty of green stuff in there dietYes

Also not too turbulent water circulation!

Yep, looks like Yellow Labs (Lab. Caereleus) and Met. Callainos (Cobalts) to me.

Water parameters as mentioned already.

Oh and hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you be best knowing what your buying before you stick em in your tank.

Always best to be doing some background checks to make sure fish can co-exist with each other.

blues look like my pseudotropheus zebra (blue), easy to breed

ideal conditions are pH of 8.0 and gH of 300ppm - need excellent filtration

sorry to be the one to say it but they aren't compatibile with the other fish in the picture - these sort of cichlids need to be kept together

they will eat plants (except jave fern) and must be fed on a veggie diet, they can easily get 'malawi bloat' which is fatal if fed on regular high protein foods

21G: ADFs, Amano, Cherry and Tiger Shrimp
50G: Pearl Gouramis, Guppies, Neons, Lemons, Pygmy Cories, Otos, Clown Plec, bristlenose pleco, platies, swords
50G: Tall, bowfront SA setup, Angels, Festivums, Rams, Pictus', Raphael, bristlenose pleco
(10g QT tank)
80g: Mbuna, Red Zebras, Yellow Labs, Blue Cobalts, Lab Hongis, Bumblebees, Syno M.punctatus, Plec

Hi the Yellow labs are infact one of the more peaceful and timid chiclids. Whilst being regarded vegies due to being a chiclid but infact they are omnivorous. (but yes watch your plants)

the diet in the wild is 90% veg matter, they also graze on crustaceans amongst the rocks.

good diet should be mainly veg with the occasional protein treat, the frozen brineshrimp + spirulina is suitable about once per week

the are relatively peaceful in comparison to other mbuna, but i would not agree peaceful on the whole, i would not keep them with the rasboras in that picture; besides the rasbora prefer different water conditions
