     Hi looking goodYes

    As for the nitrate reading,as Bluedave has said 'quite aceptable',but mine much higher and the fish are all a-ok. It really depends on what you keep and feed! Just keep an eye on the amonia and nitrite levels oh and P/HBig Smile They are the important one'sYes

    Another Cardinal floating this morning - I am so $%*! off - tested water yesterday before adding new fish and tested again this morning, all is ok.

    Called guy from shop I got them from this morning - strange he had a massive tank full of them Friday and now says he has none! he will willingly replace them - not so sure I want to go back there to be honest Angry

     Hi sounds like the shop had a 'dodgy' batch hence why they died-so not your fault! Also cardinels are not the hardiest of fishes,so try neons for now?{imo}Also as soulassassin has said take it nice and slowly with the stockingBig Smile. Cherry shrimps are also very sensitive to changes in the water,so need aclmatising very slowly! but looking goodYescheer {love that smileyBig Smile}

    All being treated now - can't help but feel gutted - I wanted Cardinals as I think they look nicer than the neons - I will go and get replacments for the dead ones and let them know how miffed I am!

    Time for an update:

    I'm so miffed - got 7 of original Cadinals left - LFS replaced lost fish with 9 tiny, tiny Cardinals, lost 3 over night already Angry am giving up with the store I thought was better than my LFS.

    Have just finished the white spot treatment yesterday and pleased to say all spots are gone and remaining fish looking well and happy. Have also added some apple snails. The Cherry shrimp are all turning a lovely red, they were young when I got them and clear in colour. Tested water last night, the nitrIte was 0.25, did a 10L water change and all is back to being good. Cut some plants back and hoovered up, looking better and it makes me feel like I want to carry on. Have been feeling p'ed off about loosing so many fish.

    Will add the carbon back tomorrow after testing the water again and inspecting the fish.

    Snail tank is looking good, have lots of eggs, can't wait to see them hatch!
