Thought this the best place to post this as it might be seen by more people

I thought George Farmer was a much older person
Can't get your link to work Lilac
but I agree about George Farmer - I thought he was much older from his articles etc. When I bumped into him at the festival of fishkeeping last year I didn't beleive it when some one told me who he was!
Festival of Fishkeeping is on again this year, same place, same time by the way (Hayling Island in October). Was good last year and supposed to be bigger and better this year. Already in the process of organising baby sitters and a weekend at a health spa for the missus as last year the kids got bored after an hour and we had do duck out early!

I think George must've been christened in a fish tank.
How long has he been active in the aqua scene? He seems to have been going since the beginning of time
Very good video - some nice plugs for traders - but it does last a shade over 31 mins, you have been warned.
Thanks, Jan

I liked it very much.
However, I did kind of think - if you go to all the expense of getting the right lighting, substrates (none on his list were cheap) etc, then why not get presurrised CO2, its cheaper than EasyCarbo or Excel in the long run - I got my kits for a shade over £100 including deivery (from Germany - eBay seller) and have been delighted with them.
I also use dry ferts which I make solutions from, cheaper than Tropica Plant Nutrition +.
However, if you can't be bothered with presurrised and making up solutions from dry ferts and you have money to burn then I'd go for EasyCarbo and TPN+!

Presurrised CO2 for under £100:

I bought two and have been very pleased, I didn't use the reactor though, but used glass diffusers below filter outputs.
Good results at 1 bps on both tanks.
I am using that Easycarbo at the moment along side my fermentor. I went off excel as it did some of the plants in
good point froggy, the list of plants that excel melts seems to slowly grow over time, at first i thought it was only vals, but i've now heard elodea doesn't like it either
in tha absence of pressurised i would use easycarbo in the future
Thanks for the feedback. BTW I'm 32 with a high-maint wife and two children. I'm surprised I don't look as old as you think I may be... :)
I wanted to use Easycarbo over CO2 because Matt wanted something slower growing and less maintenance.
Easycarbo is also an algaecide, so ideal for new set ups where algae is very common.
It is the same product as Seachem Flourish Excel and will adversely affect true submersed aquatic plants such as Egeria sp. and Vallisneria sp. Under regular dosing, however, these plants can be ok.

Hi George, nice to see another young member on here I tell you, there's not many of us around these days!! Nice video

I thought your video was excellent That's why I put the link here
Thanks for the easycarbo info. I thought it must be a similar if not the same thing. But it certainly seems to be helping in my tank. I am also using the profito fert
