Just got a couple of pics from my Dad - he's out fishing and sent them via his phone:
Nice Colourful Wrasse:
and a nice shark - well it's a dog fish (they're a smaller/the smallest member of the Huss family I think?)!
Good size as well that - about 2 foot which is fully grown.
and the frustrating thing is............ he put them both back as he's caught enough this week!!!!!!

Nice fish, glad he's having a great time
Hi he's catching me more than me at the mo
A couple of cracking looking fish there, espcially the wrasse! Do you know what species?
Good for your Bd senior for putting them back
He only keeps what he can eat and he's not that keen on Dogfish, my brother loves 'em though.
It's a male Ballan Wrasse apparently (according to the man that caught it!).
Hi he is quite right Bluedave
I have never caught one! Mind you my sea fishing skills leave alot to be desired!
How is he getting on with his flyfishing?
Don't know mate, think he still gives it a go now and then, i'll have to ask him
The wrasse is very pretty
Hi be interesting to hear how he is getting on with his flyfishing?
Yes Lilac_froggy some of our local fish are quite colourfull - espcially the cuckoo wrasse
Spoke to me Dad today James,
He's still trying the flyfishing mate - in fact he's so keen that he's just ordered a £150 rod and reel especially for it - thats about his 15th rod (i don't know what he does with em all - you can only use a couple at a time)!!!
However, he did say that he aint caught a bass with it yet! They keep following about 6" behind the fly without actually biting - he'll keep trying though.
