Jan have a look at the Canon S5 IS. A friend recently got a new camera around £100 and to be honest it probably takes better pictures than my DSLR, if I remember I'll ask him what it is but I think it's one of the 10Mpixel Samsung pocket cameras.
Thanks Sean
I know the panasonic lumix is hard to beat for zoom, but I tend to need it for more close up stuff and lower light and that camera apparently isn't that great in low light .
Hi Jan,
Here's one of my toad photos, if you want good close up's the 720IS is the camera for you. It has a macro setting that lets you get in as close as 1cm without zooming in. This is my wildlife pond which as you can see is full of duck weed but the toads seem to like it.
And here's another, managed to get hold of one of them.
Fantastic pics Tonyy!

They look great at the moment but my problem will come when they all get bigger, there's hundreds of them making their way down the garden towards the fish pond. Oh well maybe they will turn into fish food when i'm on hols.
cheers
Tony
Sounds like an army of them LOL
Fantastic pics. So clear and the colour looks perfect
Thanks for sharing Tony
Hi, sorry to butt in, i have not been on site for a long time and was just enjoying the wander round the forum as you do and thought i would pass comment on the lumix camera. I do alot of fishing and whilst abroad this year my guide had just started using the lumix with the large screen on the back and the results are excelent. I am seriously thinking of buying one myself.
cheers stew
What fabulous pictures Tony
Welcome back Stew
Which lumix is it as there are a few of them
Hi,
Criky, i have been away again for several weeks, not good i know but anyway, i am not sure which lumix it is , other than it costs around the £200 mark.
cheers Stew
I am still pondering. The new lumix is around.
I reckon it would be hard to beat Tony's close ups with his camera
