Can any of you brainboxs help me out, i have to take the monthly company mobile phone bills and charge out to expenses call the private calls, and its a right pain, a calculators no good and it works on hundreds, i need something that can add say 15.45, 0.49 0.24 5.09 etc etc and convert it into hours, minutes and seconds. Any ideas. di
Couldn't you just add them all up and then divide them by 60?

well thats what i do, add up all the seconds and divide by 60, then add up the minutes but cant help thinking there is a better way. di

Maybe you could use that spare computer, maybe the boss has downloaded some sort of program that is useful.
Just a thought, could you not use Excel and do a formula?

Try typing the following into excel.
Change N15 to whatever the cell reference is that you want to convert eg A1, B4 etc. Make sure you get all the right brackets in the right place! This will display the result: 5h 12m 49s if your input cell reads 5.2136 etc.
=CONCATENATE(INT(N15),"h ",INT((N15-INT(N15))*60),"m ",ROUND(((N15-INT(N15))*60-INT((N15-INT(N15))*60))*60,0),"s ")
