Hello Everyone!!

we have a fluval 3 plus and a spray bar kit running along the back of our tank!!

we've added a airstone to one end of the tank the same side as the main filter unit!!

Just wondering what you would do with it !

I have taken some pictures i will add them shortly !!!

Cheers

 Hi,

What do you mean do?  Do you mean the tank?  Smile

Look forward to seeing the pics.

You don't really need an airstone as the filter will circulate the water round the tank enough to keep it oxygenatedSmile

An airstone is useful if the water temp increases as it does in very warm weather. When the water is warmer there is less available oxygen in it and adding an airstone aerates the water Smile

I think the query is  where we would place the airstone in the tank JamesSmile

Personally not in tank unless the water is very warm due to raised ambient tempsSmile

Hi crazy2sorry i was having an 'off' nightcucumber

Funnily enough i use airstones in all my tanks, but i tend to keep larger fish which need more oxygenYes

Also very valid point about water containing less oxygen when its warmerYes
