    Mountain Shrimp Tomfoolery...

I have two mountain shrimp in one of my tanks.  They're lovely.  I also have one of those red-sea diffuser thingies that blows tiny CO2 bubbles into the tank, I'm sure you know what I mean.  Recently, the shrimp have taken to standing with their fans and faces right in the nozzle.  It doesn't seem to do them any harm, in fact it's pretty obvious they like it, but WHY doesn't it do them any harm?  Surely getting such a heavy blast of CO2 for hours at a time can't be good for them?  I'm assuming they breathe oxygen like most, err, life!?!?

I think they just stand in front of the best flow.  The co2 obviously isnt affecting them much otherwise they would still be standing in it!  The oxygen the breathe will be disolved in the water so the co2 bubble will not affect them really.

    Fishity fishity fish fish! ;D

They are mental - they spend most of their time there, in full blast of the CO2.  Idiots.

Tsk... Richy, why has that shot not been entered in any of the photo comps?  For me it's about the best photo I've seen on this site (though I did like Ferox's Danio also).
