hello all,
I have had my Rio125 for about 18 months i think now, and it has been going smoothly (well since the death of my poor goldfish anyway). water is good quality and no more problems. Had to change my light unit as it suddenly stopped working, even though i changed the blubs! The LFS said it was because i didnt change the end caps, and water must have got in and broke the unit.
Anyway, I have already been interested in catfish type bottom feeders. I have been researching loaches, like the hillstream loach (hong-kong loach/plec) and arnt they also called a butterfly loach? As they are called many different things, how is the best way to make sure i get what i want? Il send an email to my local fish store to see if they have them. should I use the latin name, to make sure they understand what type of loach i am after?
I bought some slate for the bottom of my tank, and it has built up a fair amount of algea since i added it to the tank. So it should have alot to eat, il get some algea wafers as well.
