Hi Slick
Welcome to FC - I am sure someone will be along shortly to advise you - I am a newbie too so don't want to give any wrong info as this lot will kill me
Dont do a water change until the tank is fully cycled - when the nitrite is zero.

as Dave said, by doing a water change now will give you false readings when testing. The results will look lower but will be false.
Indeed as already said, no water changes until a fishless cycle is complete
thanx guys
You are welcome slick
Sounds like the cycle is coming along nicely. Well done for being patient. It is the secret of success so to speak!
Don't hesitate to ask for advice in the tropical section. I take it you have a tropical tank?
I found the waiting to be the hardest as most on here know LOL
I'm glad I took the advice on here and waited - I wuv my fishes
yeah its a tropical one other question is i have snails came in on my plants whats the best fish to keep these down its a 75ltr tank so nothing to big
Botia sidthimunki - group of 5, they get to about 2.5" tops. Anything else will get too big (although the larger loaches are better snail munchers).
What other fish are you thinking about?
