Hi a few updates for me shed. I got me old plec back of me mate - he looked after him well to well.He is now nealry 15 inches long and looking awsum! I am also babysitting 3 goldfish for a mate while his pond is sorted! They are in with the dats so that will be interesting,as they have been on there own since i got them!
I also bought a soribum lima sunday, which went in with the mollies which seemed a good idea at the time but i see the soribum has rather a fat belly and i am missing one mollyoh dear!
Happy fishkeeping till the next update James
Ps what has happenend to my foto's i have posted on here?
Hi well thought i would start my diary again, and bring you all up to date - Well loads to catch up on so hope you are sitting comfortably.
Firstly the rays are all doing ok but not really growing? My aro is growing fast Wow and i mean fast! but what a fish - tonight i went to feed him and had a cube of frozen grub in me hand six inches above the surface{yes you know what happens next?}and yep the greedy blighter only jumped and got it out of me hand boy did i jump.oh i have nicknamed him Oliver because he's always after more - good eh!!? I moved me soribum lima over to the ray tank aswell because i bought some barbs to go in the four footer and he thought they were live food- i only lost one but he wasn't the smallest of the six i got! Anyway he looks well happy in with the rays! I also added two angels to the ray tank of a chap on here called Dommo and a plec aswell and they are all doing really well - i am glad to say
My four footer had some interesting times? I lost all but one molly{thats a totall of 7 mollies}in a space of a fortnight-for know appaerant reason! hence buying the barbs! My indo is doing really well- i have nicknamed him ollie!?He is one unusall fish he changes colour to suit his mood?Wierd!.Also moved the soribum lima over as already said!Oh nearly forgot i got three little geo jurapi's aswell, they are right little characters! Also got a tyre track eel in there aswell and he looks great - and eating river shrimps - he tracks{get it tracks - tyre track-know wonder i'm not a comedian!}them down!
As for my other six footer not alot gone on apart from abit of white spot, but sorted quickly! Also the chap who said he wanted my dats never got back to me?I moved one of my dats over to my ray tank and he is doing really great and coloured up and is even out and about?so makes me wonder if its worth seperating the last few? I shall try and put some foto's on now?
Happy fish keeping seeya James.

Hi thought about time i updated this! {Ok i actualy forgot i had started this diary}Firstly the ray tank = the rays are doing well but don't seem to be growing particulary well? As for the aro - he is now 14 inches long and regulary 'attacks' my hand being impatiant for the food! The good thing is he 'sulks' once i start cleaning them out,so makes tank maintanance easier! The dat that was put in there is still in perfect colour, but may have become a bully? The plec i had of Dommo{where are you mate?} was having his tail 'shredded' by some one so moved him today over to the goldfish tank,in with the big plec, all seems ok at the mo?The four footer = seems to be problematic? no problems with the fish, but tank seems to be dirty the whole time and the filters block far to quickly for my liking! Also moved out the 5 aurilius barbs today as they had become far to 'feisty' for 'ollie' and co! Also the sole remaining molly was moved out! All these fish are now in with the goldfish {remember the goldfish are in a tropical tank at the mo!} The tank seems much more placid and peacefull now, and hopefully ollie and the trye track will be more adventorous now? Also the clown knife looks much more settled! {my latest addition}The goldfish tank = has had the addition of the barbs, molly and plec this weekend, and to be honest they are all looking much happier in there - apart from the barbs beating the goldfish to the food....................Lastly,as i have lost my hearing this weekend i have had a very quiet weekend{no jokes please}, i have set up the ex shrimp tank as a small planted tank as an experiment, i shall put on the photo's one day in the week! the tank will be home to some guppy'sWell that'll do for now i've waffled on enough, untill the next time happy fishkeeping and keep smiling
Very nice setup m8 :)Love the ArowanaCant wait to see new pics.CheersMark
No Fish or Equipment were hurt in the making of this post :)
Hi every one
Here is a little project i done when i had lost my hearing one weekend,i remembered this little empty tank and thought lets see what i can do with it!
As you can see the tanks was just being used to store 'spare' filters.
Here it is part filled. I decided to set it up as a planted tank!
