     Hi thanks Bluedave and RichyYes

    Forgot to add all the technical stuffTongue Tied,the tank is 24 x 12 x 15 {inches},it is filtered by a small internal air driven box filter and a sponge filter. Substrate is silver sand with some plant fertiliser in {forgotton which oneConfused} and got an in built light {not sure what type of tube though?}

    The tank used to be used for keeping river shrimps in for my rays,but that got too expensive,so thought i'd try stting up a small fish, fish tank as i have never kept what i would call small fish!Big Smile! Must admit i am well happy with it and find myself crouching on the floor watching themCool hoping to add some more fish sooncheer

    Re: SHEDD AQUARIUM JNR

     Hi thanks for all the commentsCool

    A quick{ish}updateBig Smile. The tank featured above is doing really well and i am basically just doing a small weekly water change on it at the mo.the fish are doing really well and the guppys are breeding,but the young seem very slow growers?Diet perhaps?I have just invested in some new food for'em and liquifry for the young,so we shall see how they do! The plants are doing well,the vallis is growing but at a slower rate?{i suspect the light as its rather old-time to get a new one?

    My ray tank is doing very well,and i have added a new larger filter a blagdon4500 {a pond filter},i am also using the U/V which came with the filter and i reckon its making the tank look clearer - nice bonus!Cool

    The Aro is doing rather well and is now at least 16 inches long,and is eating me out of house and homeSurprise,it is also hand tame {not really recomended!}He has become camera 'shy' so maybe awhile before i can get a decent foto of Oliver {the aro's name - sad ehcucumber }

    The rays seem to have slowed down in there growth rate?but eat well but only certain foods?! Also they are sexable now and they are all clearly three little boys{so my hopes of breeding them tempoarily shelved}

    The soribum Lima been a relvation in that tank! In the four footer he would barely come out from hiding,he eat one of my aurilius barbs,so had to be moved PRONTO! and so thats how he ended up in the six footer with the rays and aro! and since he has doubled in size and got a appetite to matchSurprise

    My other tank still needs sorting I still have the goldfish? the barbs are doing really well and boy can they move in thereSurprise. Dommo's plec was also put in there but i was worried the other plec wouldn't settle with him? Well lets just say they are best 'buddies'Smileas you shall see from the foto i am enetering for potm in julyCool

    Though i was keeping this short2funny

    Any way till the next update {and hopefully some new foto's}happy fish keepingBig Smile

    Re: SHEDD AQUARIUM JNR

     Hi another update,well all going a little wrong at the moment!Sad! My largest ray is ill! He has gone very white around the eye's {have been for quite awhile now}but now his tail has gone white and looks to be 'rotting away',tonight the rotting has extended to his disc{body}and has a largish chunk missing on one side! Not looking good! the fish is still active but not really eating much! My smallest ray also has some 'white' area's on it but not as bad! The middle sized ray looks perfect! I have some theories as to what is wrong? I am hoping the fish can make it to the weekend when hopefully my mate up the shop may confirm or otherwise my theory? I do not honestly expect the fish to surviveSad! Please feel free to pass on any thoughts or suggestionsYes.All the other fish in the tank are ok!

    My four footer looking well grubby,and the filters still not coping despite being for tanks considerably bigger! So this tank is inline for a major overhaul! {despite being understocked!

    My other six footer fairing much better! My molly had a nasty eye,but has now cleared up! All the fish are doing great but now looking to rehome the goldfish? I may be passing them onto a mate who has got a pond? Still awaiting an answer!

    But the most amasing thing happened in this tank whilst cleaning out the filter i was 'visited'by a baby aurilius barb,about an inch {2.5cm}long! Now how this fish has survived and grown is simply amazing - so i have nicknamed him 'miracle'banana

    I have not added any fish to this tank in over six months so was born in the tank!Surprise!

    The little two footer doing really well,and the guppy's breeding like wildfire,but not really growing that fast - but the adults are small? Could that be a reason? Or too smaller a tank?

    My thoughts on all this are two fold! Firstly work is very busy at the moment,so only doing basic maintenance and less water changes,also secondly fish such as rays need feeding directly as the food will be nicked by other fish{i feed them using tongs} so feel this may be the cause of the rays problems?

    So it goes to show how, just when we think all a-ok things can conspire against us?

    Untill the next update happy fishkeepingBig Smile

    Re: SHEDD AQUARIUM JNR

     Hi just a quick updateBig Smile.

    the aro is growing realy fast now and is rapidly outgrowing the tankSurprise,so i am looking to rehome him/her sooner rather than later! I will be sad to see the aro go as it has so much characterBig Smile.

    The rays seem to have settled at the moment? the dominant male is doing well and really eating well,the smaller of the two rays,is still showing signs of being unhappy but feeding well so seeing how it goes for the time being?

    The other ray which had all the probs is still in rehab,but is eating well and looks to be getting better,the disc also looks to be regrowing? but very slow!

    My 2 plecs and seven B/Ns are all doing well in the same tank,which i find surprisingSurprise! But i feed them plenty! so all are happy!!

    The guppys are still refusing to grow much!?? I am guessing its because the adults are small? Any idea's anyone?

    Finally big changes on the horizon! I am going to replace the shed next year as this one is rotting awaySad, i will replace with a similar sized shed,but will look to make alot of changes! When the project gets started i will do a seperate project diary and take loads of photo's!

    Untill the next update happy fishkeeping
