Hi i am getting a male retic ray next weekend{to go in with my 3 females} and my ultimate goal would be to breed them,any advice or help would be much appreciated O0
Hi thought about time i updated this! Tank no 1 = 3 retic rays,1aro,2 ompuk cats,8 angels,1 syd greshoffi{19 years old},1 syd unkown,1 stripped dora,1 plec,1 silver dat,1 pim and a soribum lima! Tank no2 = 6 auralis barbs,2 needle gars,1 molly,1 dat microlepis,1 trye track eel and 8 bristlenoses! Tank no 3 = 2 goldfish{on holiday}1 flag tail thingy{over twenty years old},4 silver dats,1 pim and a plec!

plenty of food, excellent water conditions & lots of patience

If you can't be bothered to do it right, don't bother to do it at all

motoro's are probably the worst, retics are supposed to be not too bad....

If you can't be bothered to do it right, don't bother to do it at all

I have heard that the male can give the female quite a hard time! as you said dreamer hopefully retics not quite so nasty?
As a matter of interest would you advise that the other fishes be taken out? Leaving just the rays in the tank? Smile

depends on the fish...are they worth anything...or of sentimental value? or too big to be eaten? otherwise you need to concider them on borrowed time....altough if the rays are fed enough the other fish will probably be ok...

If you can't be bothered to do it right, don't bother to do it at all

Hi only realy my syd and ol one eye{both are ancient} otherwise all the others ok,but may move some out so its easier to keep the water cleaner?
Anyone any idea's on how big the ray needs to be to breed? O0

Hi well i may have made a startling discovery today ;D
my 3 females rays may all be males :idiot2: :crazy2:
um so the breeding project maybe on hold for now ;D
