    Home Brewing

     Just taken my first step into Home Brewing with the Youngs Bitter Brew Kit. Not set up yet, but will keep you updated. Anyone else into home brewing?

    i bought a home brewing kit from ideal world once,i made cider that tasted vile,and a rather nice lager got got me merry after one or two pints lol,havent done it in a while now though,cheap too,a lager kit costs a fiver for 40 pints then all you need is sugar and water,its great

    i bought mine online on ideal world,was £40 that was barrel,c02 and the cider kit.was sooo easy to do too,and as i say it works out roughly 6 quid for lager/cider/bitter set and sugar that makes 40 pints,bargain

    I get cider from Sainsburies, 3l for £3.19, great I thought until i saw this, are you trying to kill me ? lol

    TANK 1. 1 BGK, Pair Gold Panchax, 1 Sailfin plec. Mopani wood + Fake silk plants. Substrate, sand + gravel. Ext filt.

    WEBCAM  TANK 2. 15 Copper Harlequins (Hengeli), 3 albino bristlenose (2 m + 1 f), 1 Lda031, 1 Male CT Betta, 2 Adolphi Cory's, 5 chain loach, 3 Albino Cory(1 highfin), 4 Axelrodi Cory, 15 pygmy cory's, 2 Hoplo Littorale, 12 Popondetta Furcata, 3 Bamboo Shrimp, 6 Amano shrimp & 1 misc long armed shrimp (possibly Indian). Plants, Sword, Bacopa Caroliniania, Vallis Nana, Rotala Wallichii & Cabomba, Driftwood. Susbtrate, sand + gravel. Ext filter.

     Got mine from Homebrew 4U

    Great little company with a forum on the site for advise. Basic kit is £25 for Barrel, and gear to brew 40 pints.

    I'm collecting my own bottles from work rather than forking out for new ones, so not starting brewing just yet.

    bottles????lol the barrel i got has a tap built in so i just pour straight into a pint glass when ready Beer

     Prefer to bottle mine so I can put them in the fridge and give them away to friends and family :-)
