I prefer the look of the ones that are like a wishing well Paul. And the hexagon ones
Weren't you looking at them a while back?
Yeah I was hehe but you know me Jan
I quite like those hexagon ones to, seen a 100 gallon one for £170 figured that would be big enough! for now...
The frogs will love any watery hole PauL lol
Whichever you choose, of course you'll still need to protect little Eden from it
As you know......toddlers love to climb!
Ok Birthday this week and all my money is going in to buy me one of these... 175 Gallon Raised Pond
First question...once assembled whats the rules for adding fish? I will be getting a pump of some sorts for it, need to work out whats best. Also will be planting with some water lillies eventually and stick some elodea in to I would think. Total N00b in this area so all help appreciated. Probably have to put netting over it just to be extra safe with little one around.
I want one!
*cough* sorry, don't know what came over me.

great idea, id love one of those, and dont forget toddlers grow up fast, so it just need a temp cover, prob a good time to plan it as you have the winter to sort it out, shall i say happy birthday now then, di
great news paul, you've been threatening this for about 2 years now, basically, the set up is the same as your tanks, half fill it, put plants in, top up, switch on and leave to cycle.
only down side is that i fear it's too late in the year to add fish, ideally water temp needs to be above 50f, so at least you'll have all winter to cycle it and prepare for the inevitable blanket weed attack (lol).
good luck with it, it'll be a great addition to the garden
it's my union flag and i want it back

Brings back memories eh Edd LOL
I need pump advice mainly, going to have a fountain in the middle for water movement but what pump should I get? Looking for a self contained in the pond jobby rather than box and filter jobby for now.
these are good paul

here's some more good ones

google pond pumps and you'll be spoilt for choice
look for oase, laguna, fishmate, hozelock, oy tetrapond, all are good for a fountain only pond
this is a good page

Do I need to look for a certain turnover of water per hour?
noy sure what you're pond volume will be paul, but just look for a pump that is siutable for that volume, although it's really not that important with a fountain only pond.
but if that pond was filtered, then you'd need a pump that would turn over that volume every 2 hours
