This time next week I will be introducing my new fish,my lfs cant tell them apart yet (to young he says)so it will be pot luck,I have noticed one in there display tank is brightly coloured underneath,is this a female.
The last thing i want is 2 males or two females.
Rekord 70
both have bright coloured underneithes, the females are pinkier and rounded belly, the males are darker coloured with flat bellys and in males the first ray is the longest, in females it's the second or third. This means that males have pointed pelvic fins whilst females have rounded pelvic fins. The pink rounded belly is usually a sign the female is mature so isnt always evident when young. di
thanks fishy
good luck on your new arrivals
