Is this a record? New Juwel Rio 400 installed last Saturday seeded with Stress Zhyme and some food, and planted up nicely thank you.
Sunday added squeezings from a filter that was being cleaned from an established tank.
Monday (And yes theoretically I guess this was early) added 5 Juvi mollies.
Tuesday - No Ammonia, no Nitrite
Wednesday - No Ammonia, Nitrite at 0.25 ppm
Thursday - Same, so not a false reading. Nitrate at 10-20 ppm.
Would the seeding from a "Live" filter have made such a difference to the cycling??

Most definately. If you can take about 25% of the media you need for a mature filter, you can basically shorten the cycle down to a day or two. :)
It wasn't the media. Just all the crud on the filter sponge and the water still in the filter.
But Huzzah anyway ! No more 10 week cycle like last time.
