Feeding congo frogs

 I feed my frogs frozen bloodworms,the poor things get some,is there anything else i can try as i find they are last to eat.

9 assorted platys

1 angel (rescued still looking for new home,let down again)

3 amano shrimps

 can you put some flake on top to distract the other fish and then drop the blood worm close to the frogs?

the poor things are 1/2 blind i'm afraid, by the time they have sniffed out their food the fish get their first; i keep mine in my non-fish tank with amano, cherry and tiger shrimp

bloodworm is their staple.

some people hand feed them, involves holding the bloodworm cube in your hand or tweezers right in front of their nose, by doing this you can slowly take them off bloodworm and onto other foods

a lot of them do die in fish tanks through starvation and they do better in groups of 6 or more

i'm assuming of course by congo frogs you mean african dwarf frogs and not african clawed frogs (can tell apart as the clawed frogs do not have webbed front 'hands'

clawed frogs get big and eat fish, dwarf stay small and ignore fish

 they are congo frogs,i have had them about 4 month,i was mis-sold,(dont happen anymore) they seem to be ok,i also feed them live bloodworms,what about the sinking tablets would they benefit from them,i also have 8 amano shrimps now,another attempt at mis-selling,they said they are ok on own!(my lfs) .

I have read that platys benefit from salt,what about the angel,the frogs and the amanos,are they ok with salt.

The last time i added salt was when i had poorly fish.

lol Congo frogs are African dwarf frogs, it just a less common name for them. how they feed depends, very much, on the frog. some eat anything, some are really fussy, i used a syringe with an extension to feed mine at first, however they seem to have sorted out now as i just drop any food for the whole tank in, and they seem to be fine. they tend not to do too well in community tanks, that said mine are fine in my well stocked 50ugkg tank. again it depends on the frog, but something to sit on on the water surface, is often an idea. if you have a happy community they will sing, both, male and female !!!

as for salt, i would advise against it. unless you remove the platys and give them their own brackish tank.

Frogs are quite sensitive to salt like scaleless fish are. Some people use a little with no obvious ill effects, but personally I wouldn'r risk it

 i wont be adding salt,i have bought some sinking feed,my shrimps like them,by the by, lost 2 shrimps,found them in the filter
