On the way home tonight, i witnessed something that i have only ever heard of. On the aylsham rd in norwich, which norwich members will know, i was sitting in a q of traffic when i saw a scuffle between a "lad" and someone in there i would say late twentys. Anyway the lad was with two other lads so it was effectively 3 on 1. As i got closer, suddenly the lad hit the older guy straight on the chin. In fact i would say ali would have been proud of that punch it was that good. However ali would not have been proud of the fact the lad had to cut him with a knife while he was spark out on the pavement. Then the lad just dragged him to the side of the rd and left him there like a dead deer. At this point i was level with it. Most of the cars turned around including myself. There were lots of people out of the petrol station and local shops near there helping him and the police. I actually tried to chase the lads responsible, god knows why, at the time i thought i would just run them over but it was silly and i soon gave up and went home. as i drove past again the ambulance and police were they taking lots of statements, i really didn't want to stop which could be right or wrong but i just didn't want to involve myself, there were all sorts of unsavoury characters hanging around, if it was something to do with drugs, who knows what repucusions could happen if you got seen effectively grassing. Got to say i am shocked by this, when i was a lad, which wasn't that long ago, you had a fight and that was that. Anyway just wanted to get that off me chest. Matt
sometimes it takes what u witnessed to bring it home,i had a knife pulled on me at work a few years ago,not my happiest moment.

Hi Matt,what a shocker for you! It really brings it home when you witness such an incident and realy makes you wonder what modern society is coming too!
You done right not getting involved although we feel we should to try and help out - but who knows what it may lead too!??
Try and have a nice evening and get it out of your head!
As for you DG what a shock that must have been,hope the other bloke got the sack - PRONTO!
I know how you feel, at my last place of work, the road the office was in was a major drug dealing area, and i heard a scuffle once and voices raised so i went out to see what was going on and four under cover officers had two (out of four) dealers on the floor, the other two legged it and got away, and all outside the front of my office.
Hi and i thought Newbury was a dodgey area
Worst i've seen is road rage - well he wouldn't get out of my way would he............................................... {only kidding}
Well i suppose my worst experience was working in Hungerford on the day Micheal Ryann went mad with his AK47, mind you me and me dad kept working regardless
Oh dear Matt what an awful thing to witness It will take a while to get out of your head.
Good job you gave up chasing them as they would no doubt have done the same to you
There were two more stabbings in London overnight one of them dead. It's everyday I swtich the radio on either stabbings or shootings.
A few years ago on a bank holiday monday, some gypies stabbed a guy to death down the road because he owed them £25 for drugs.
It all happens so often , but suppose it's quieter where you live Matt and you don't expect to see it like that in broad daylight
Yeah mate I know what you mean, it's not just fists now.
Glad your okay though.
