cat fish have to be my favorite fish they always seem to have such funny personalities!!!!
i have a golden sucking cat named Banana....
and another one called Al but im not sure what breed he is.
he is charchol grey in colour with wiskers he is quite large and solid looking . he is fairly quiet and seems to be a middle feeder un like the sucking cat fish can anyone help? il see if i can get a pic of him,

im trying to get a pic of him normaly he'l come up n nibble ur finger but no all he wants to do is hide. ive looked all over the ned for an ID but cant find on il keep trying
here he is and i found out what he was apparently he is a black shark cat fish ! does that sound right???
Hi yep definatly a black shark and not a catfish! Although they do have whiskers and do act very 'cat' like!
How big is the shark? As this type can get quite big? Although quite peacefull and largely safe with smaller fish,they also like plenty of greens! Algea etc!

he?she ?? is about 4cm long at the moment and is really good mates with my golden sucking cat banana (they share a log) its quite cute he has some green plants in the tank and gets fed green algea flakes as well as pellets he seems happy and is a good colour he likes to eat ur fingers too if ur not watching what ur doing when ur fixing something in the tank!!
il get a bigger tank nxt yr when i move out of college hopefully he wont get too big til then!!

how long are the wiskers as.
as it may be a USD catfish (syno), look like that but a bit bigger built than a shark.

Hi should be ok for the shark to wait till next year? Sounds like he/she is quite a character,have you named the shark?
I had one once and they are lovely fish,mine unfortunatly died when the filter crashed due to overstocking {i added a load of big fish at the same time and filter wasn't fast enough to catch up a lesson learnt the hard way!} They are quite rare now as most shops do not stock them!

yeah his name is Al lol he's my favorite he's going through a stage where he plays hide and seek whenever u walk up to the tank hes not scared hes just beng a drongo apparently they do that when theyre entering like an adolecent stage!

yeah he's pretty cool lol i just hope he doesnt eat my new snails !!! its funny im not alowed to hav pets at college so all the people i live with come in and talk to my fish coz they miss their pets .....i left a dog, guinea pigs chooks and horses back home and didnt cope in an animal free environment too well last yr so my boy friend brought me fish so i didnt get to sad !!!

yeah well back home i live on 15 acres not that big some of my friends live on 2000 lol ...yeah i talk to them my bf always laughs at me when he catches me doing it but o well they sit on a shelf above my desk so when i study they all group at the front of the tank and stare at me ..they are a big distraction!!
um they are about 5ml long he has 4 of them and then tiny little ones under his chin like a beard????
