quick intro before I bore everyone
I have been fish keeping most of my life, in the past I ran 2 successful fish houses for breeding discus,angels,ancistrus etc.
nowadays after running a reef tank for 12 months I have gone back to the discus and currently I am running a 5 foot planted discus tank.

Hi the tank looks awsum! Thanks for sharing
May i ask what filteration you have on there?
running a rena xp3 which is going to end up in the bin as its garbage to prime, and an external that I have had for donkeys years-can't even remember the make.Both spraybars are angled upwards at 45 deg to provide the gaseous exchange as I don't beleive in running airlines with discus.
beautiful set up and stunning fish
Good to have you aboard
Hi thanks,i have no experience of the rena xp3s so cannot comment,i personaly use fluvals mainly and would whole heartedly recomend them,but always go for at least one size larger than you think you need? The fluval 205 been have bad reports on here lately{including from me!}
I,m going to upgrade to Eheims next and after dithching the Rena, use my other external for another project I am thinking of starting up.
Hello
Great looking tank - one dayyyy *dreaming*
