hello all
what products do you use to build your ro water back back up and keep it stable.
it's coming out of the ro unit at ph 6.5 and i'd like to keep it around that.
thank's

well when using RO water i either add salt (usually only for marine or brackish) or i mix it with regular tap water, sometimes i will add mineral salt for FW but usually only for quarentine tanks & hospital tanks.

Pure RO water is very difficult to test for a true pH. As the water is so pure, all the natural buffers have been removed so therefore, the water doesn't have a true pH and isn't capable of holding any Ph.
This is why it is vital to either re-mineralise RO or mix it with tap water. You will then get a truer reading.
